22680.925 Solex DIDTA to Weber DGV Conversion Kit for Rekord GT 1900

When you are the happy owner of a 1970 - 1975 Opel Rekord 1900 that this equipped with a Solex DIDTA carburetter, then you are probably also aware of the fact that those DIDTA carburettors are coming to the end of their life and that the parts supply, apart from the gaskets and needle valves, is rather dramatic.

The consequence of this "wear & tear" is of course that the engine is running erratically and that the fuel consumption is increasing beyond acceptable levels.

Luckily, Weber has tackled this situation and crafted this conversion kit, using a brand new Weber 32/36 DGV carburetor with manual choke (cable included).

This concerns an original Weber DGV carburettor, made in Weber's own factory in Spain.

As you can see in the photographs, this conversion kit consists of the carburettor, an isolator plate, fuel line with hose clips, an adapter to fit the original Solex DIDTA airfilter to the new Weber and all other required parts to complete the conversion.

Please note that it is jetted for the 1900 cc version.

Also please note that this kit will ONLY fit the engines that were previously equipped with said Solex DIDTA.
If your Opel is equipped with a Zenith 35/40 INAT, you require a different kit as the Weber DGV will NOT fit the INAT manifold.

If it is unknown to you what the original carburettor was for your car, you can measure the bolt pattern of your manifold and when that measures 46 x 93 mm, heart-to-heart, it should fit.

As mentioned, this kit comes with an adapter that will allow you to reuse the original air filter.

However, in some cases, it will render the whole conversion too high and the filter will hit the hood.

As this kit was developed for a number of different Opel models that use the same engine (Opel GT, Opel Manta and Opel Rekord) as well as their Vauxhall equivalents, the adapter is simply part of the kit.

Should you desire an after-market air filter, then you can find a selection of filters suitable for the DGV carburetor HERE.
